Electric Bananaのアルバムを再現

Pretty Thingsの来日の興奮冷めやらぬ間にElectric BananaのCDを聴き直していました。自宅には4枚のElectric BananaのCDがあるのですが、ふとこれらで発売当時のアルバムを再現出来るのではないかと思い、やってみました。

The Electric Banana

The Pretty Thingsの変名バンドとしてしられているThe Electric Banana。サイケデリックでガレージライクな曲は本家のThe Pretty Thingsの楽曲とまったく引けを取らない出来映えで人気があります。全部で5枚のアルバムが発表されております。

CD化されたアルバム

いままで何度かElectric BananaはCD化されていますが、ストレートリイシューではありませんでした。発売されたアルバムのB面に収録された曲の大半がA面曲のインストルメンタルということで、ボーカル曲が中心にCD化されてきました。2011年にインストルメンタルも含まれたCD化がなされましたが、完全版ではなかったのを残念がった記憶があります。

必要なCD

上記のなかから必要なCDは"Electric Banana "、"More Electric Banana"、"The Electric Banana Sessions"の３枚となります。"Blows Your Mind"はベスト盤的なモノで他のCDに全て収録されているので必要ありません。そして"Free Love"と"Cause I'm A Man"のインストルメンタルは未CD化となります。また"Hot Licks"、"The Return Of The Electric Banana"の２つのアルバムのインストルメンタルは全て未CD化です。

基本は"The Electric Banana Sessions"で、足りない曲を他のCDから持ってきます。ボーカル曲は全てCD化されているので、Electric Bananaのアルバムの雰囲気を感じるには十分でしょう。
